post dwell question

When I post a simple drill cycle in X, the (P) dwell seems to be on the second set of coorditates rather then the first. Also when I pick a single drill point the P (dwell) does not appear at all.

What I would like to do is get the "P" in between

the "R" and the "F".

Here is an example, the only changes are one drill point for the first and two drill point for the second:

One drill point

---------------------------------

G0 G90 X0. Y-.2313 A0. M8

S400 M3 T57

G56 H10 Z3.

G71 Z3.

G81 X0. Y-.2313 Z-.1 R.1 F.7 M53

G80 M53

M9

2 drill points

--------------------------------

G0 G90 X0. Y-.2313 A0. M8

S400 M3 T57

G56 H10 Z3.

Z.1

G81 X0. Y-.2313 Z-.1 R.1 F.7 M54

X.5 Y-.8563 P.5

G80 M53

Z3.

M9

The Post looks correct headscratch.gif

sample of post:

pdrill$ #Canned Drill Cycle

pdrlcommonb

pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrill, pfxout, pfyout, pfzout, pcout,

prdrlout, dwell$, *feed, *sgdrlref, strcantext, e$

pcom_movea

Any ideas ???

Is it possible to force a "P" on every cycle even if the P is zero??

like this:

(G81 X0. Y-.2313 Z-.1 R.1 P0. F.7 M53

THANKS!

Ok, I did a little testing and found that the post never outputs a dwell$ on the first drill cycle or set of x/y coordinates.

It is almost like the post processor needs to cycle through a drill-cycle one time before the dwell$ gets put in.

This is strange, it has got me completely baffled banghead.gif

I GOT IT !!!!

For some reason the drill-op was corrupted. I made a new drill toolpath operation with the exact same parameters re-picked the exact same points and it posted fine.

I then just deleted the corrupted one.

WIERD.... at least if this happens again I will know what to do.

Thanks for all the replies

Has anybody ever heard of this ????
