Backplot Simulate Rotary Axis?

Is this backplot function supose to work like it did in Version 9 in Version X? I am seeing no rotation in 5 axis tool path. I am using version X MR1

That appears to be a function that has been lost. It was nice to be able to see the part movement.

I wonder why they have that as an otion then, now you can't see rotation in backplot or verify, seems like a step backwards.

Don,

I found this in help. If your using Turbo don't.

Also was thinking you might need the 4/5 axis verify option.

Toolpath verification provides two modes of operation: Standard and TrueSolid.

 

TrueSolid mode uses solid modeling technology for toolpath simulation. TrueSolid also uses OpenGL graphics for dynamic 3D solid rendering and animation. After verifying a part in TrueSolid mode, you can rotate and magnify the part to more closely check features, surface finish, or scallops. Because of these enhanced capabilities, TrueSolid verification is the best choice for toolpath simulation.

 

Note: In Mastercam Lathe, use TrueSolid mode for best results.

 

Standard mode uses a pixel-based technology to represent the machined part. For 4- and 5-axis toolpath verification, use Standard mode unless you have separately purchased TrueSolid verification for 4- and 5-axis toolpaths from your Mastercam Reseller.

 

Note: The Turbo feature shows the machined part without simulating the tool motion. Selecting Turbo for either Standard or TrueSolid verification may produce results more quickly. TrueSolid Turbo is available only for 3-axis toolpaths in Top view, and does not support WCS or simulate part indexing.
