toolpath allocation

i just started using mcx. i'm trying to write the 3d toolpaths for a mold. it seems to take a very long time for mcx to write the toolpath. on some paths where (3d contour) i tighten up the tolorences it just locks up the computer. is there some kind of setting like toolpath allocation that i'm missing? i know v9 had it. please help

Setting >> configuration >> toolpaths.

 

If you have a gig of mem I'd suggest 50%

It is best to leave the memory buffering at the default of 50%. In X all memory allocations are handled automatically so we don't have to worry about setting them like you had to do in previous versions.

i tried memory buffering set at 50% and 85% and it still didn't work. it gave me a message that it couldn't caculate and i needed to contact my mastercam reseller. this can't be good.j/k ps i do have a gig of mem.
