MR1 BUGS?

I like some of the new things in MR1 but for the things I have to do right now at my job I finally went back to MCX because of a couple of bugs. (I am eagerly awaiting the patch so I can go back to MR1.) Maybe someone can tell me how to get around them.

 

3) I have to put grid lines on large headliner molds and with create-curve-slice MR1 was leaving huge gaps along the surfaces...MCX did it better.

 

2) Many of the files that I am given have holes for mounting bolts that I have to cover in order to machine and create-surface-fill holes worked much better in MCX than in MR1.

I'd send [email protected] e-mails with an X Z2G(zip 2 go) file and an MR1 Z2G file showing the comparison to see if in fact there is a bug in this situation. It could very well be diffenences in tolerancing between the two releases.

Kenny at mastercam said there is a bug with the create-curve-slice and he has it noted.

Send us your part just as James has described showing the gaps so we can be sure that we get this working properly for you. Make it attention to Rob Peirolo and Dave Reyburn.

 

I don't think surface-fill-holes has changed between X and MR1, so not sure about that one, but if we can see your example we'll figure it out.
