  1. Dave, It assumes that you will want to use the same base surface again for the next curve. If that's what you intended to do, you wouldn't want to have to pick the same surface again each time. The multi surface fence is on our development schedule and that will hopefully make it easier to accomplish what you're trying to do.
  2. Sharles, Send us your part just as James has described showing the gaps so we can be sure that we get this working properly for you. Make it attention to Rob Peirolo and Dave Reyburn. I don't think surface-fill-holes has changed between X and MR1, so not sure about that one, but if we can see your example we'll figure it out. Thanks.
  3. Jorgen, Let's get to the bottom of this problem. Please send us an mcx file with just the Surfaces/Curves in question. Email to [email protected] and make it attention to Rob Pierolo and Dave Reyburn. If you zip it, make sure to include the words "Files for Mastercam" in the title or it will get caught in the spam blocker.
  4. Please forward your Net Surface problems files to us to look at and we can advise you of how to make the Surface. There are some situations where it can get tricky for example when making closed surfaces that envolve "seams" and "poles". It tries to determine the along and the across automatically but there are times it can't. But if I see a part I can almost always figure out a way to make it work, and if it's a bug we need to get it fixed ASAP.
  5. The Net Surf tries to figure out and distinguish the "Along" curves from the "Across" curves in an attempt to simplify your job, but it's not always possible. Not all configurations of curve chains can be handled by window selection. In this case you need to use a combination of "chain", "partial chain" or "single" to identify each chain of curves. This message really just means it can't sort out the 2 sets of curves, therefore can't make a good surface. We need to get better error messages for it.
