When I run a contour is there a way to pick a set x, y starting point for the endmill to start. Because i like my cutter to go into a predrill holes in the z so the cutter doesnt have an z load. I am new to mastercam so this might be a rookie question. Any help would be appriated. I understand the ramp part of a partfile but it doesnt let me say pick a spot to start. Thank you in advance.

Like he said, when selecting your contour geometry first select a "point" this could be the center of an arc or the end of a line, etc., then chain your contour. In the parameter pages after you have selected all of your geometry go to the "lead in/out" page and select use entry point. Now when you back plot your contour, pocket or whatever you tool will enter at your given entry point. You can also make it exit via the same point if you select that as well.
