Ball screw parts problem not a MC question

Hi Guy's,

I have today had to remove all of the ball screws from my CNC due to wear.

The main X axis ball screw is fitted into a fabricated housing which has a thread machined into it's OD.

A large 110mm X 1mm pitch ring which is threaded on the external and has 4 holes for a C type spanner to loosen and tighten it, to retain ans set the ball screw.

I cannot for the life of me find such a retainer on the web, because it seems I do not know what its proper name is. I need to replace it as it is damaged and I do not know what the proper terminology for this externally threaded retaining ring is.

Can someone smart give me a technical term I can use to find a retainer like this on the net.

Or am I doomed to getting one made.

isn't there a nomenclature with an exploded view of the parts?

Jmparis there is, but it is in Italian all across the various language options, they also seemed to not know what the correct terminology is.

I've had to make some parts from Italian prints before. Not much fun. There are translators on the web that were pretty helpful. Some are more "technically" minded than others. You could try this link. http://babelfish.altavista.com/

There is a good chance the part is proprietary...

And you'll either have to make it, or buy it from the machine builder anyways...

 

you could also try contacting a "Ball screw repair" company. They can likely help you.

I relooked at the name and it is Flange in Italian so we are making a new part.
