Question for the router guys

How hard is it to make the jump from mill/lathe work to router work? What are the differences in programming? I'm looking at a cnc programmer job, but its for routers, and my experience is all mill/lathe.

if you have a good mastercam mill background the transition to router should be fairly simple, the biggest thing is the difference in feeds and speeds of router materials(wood, acrylic, mdf, plastic).

i made the switch. wish i was back in metal machineing. there is good work for these machines but it is very dusty and machines not very ridged. i am looking to start back in metal as soon as i can.

drilling can be different if they use drill
