converting TOOL files FROM MC9 TO MCamX

i.m, going file import then select the folder from mc9 to import and everything looks good but when i go select a tool the folder is not there ?

error says no tool libaries found in folder

i don't know if this is what you are asking, but

to import mc9 tool files to mcX, goto the top dropdown FILE/import directory/... select V9 toolfiles as the type of file to get from the dropdown options, and then specify where to get and where to put.

Are you sure you selected the .tl9 extension for converting your V9 library?

When you go file >> import directory

 

, where it says mastercam v9 files if you click on the arrow and scroll down you will find the .tl9 extension, click that then direct the first option to where you V9 library is, and the 2nd one to where you want the converted library to be when you are done.

that was part of the problem john but no mcx keeps crashing when importing the tool libary. get most of it loaded then crashes

There was supposed to be another way to bring in your tool libraries but for the life of me I can not remember how.

wonder if there is a bogus tool or something causing it to crash?

maybe just an item in the tool info., but a pretty good guess imo.

think of found the bas folder. looks like a folder within a folder
