F9 fit .. ummm what ?

Im in a a job/repair shop. I just recived a job for a normal regtangular bracket with a thru hole. A lot of the time we are giving a sample to go off, but this was dropped off with a (metric) drawing. The hole has a class F9 fit ... now niether I or anyone or any book in the shop we have knows what a F9 fit is ... Have any of you ever heard of this ??

 

I just wanted to to ask you guys first before I call the customer and tell him thier drawing is wrong ... which I believe it is.

 

I know this may sound like a dumb question but the customer is a high paying customer and I would like to keep it that way.

took a quick look and my tables only go to F8...

What is the hole dia? F9 class tolerance is O.K.

but the number depends on the size.

it is a 6MM hole thru a 25 part

Your 6mm dia hole tolerance is

+0.04/+0.01

yeah thank you ... all I ended up doing was drilling and reaming with a 6mm+ reamer and it worked out fine.

Im surprised that F9 is not in my ready refernce or machinery's handbook, which I have in paper and in hardcopy.

oh well .. learn something new everyday
