Drilling titanium

What would be the recommended sfm and feed for drilling 6-4 titanium. Also coolant or dry?

What size drill, type, material?

 

HSS apprx 25 SFM

HSS/CO apprx 32 SFM

Carbide apprx 250 SFM

 

.001/.0015 CPT

What type of drill carbide? Solid or inserted?

250 SFM!!! Here I go around 120-130 with 0.006 for a 7/16 solid carbide coolant through and drill about 300 holes (1 inch deep) with 1 drill and still good. Coolant is soluble oil around 10-15% chip/rev will depend on the drill diameter.

You are correct, a little agressive for drilling, about half that is correct for drilling.
