I'm trying to build a screw that has two different

thread forms. I am able to make these parts and have both threads timed to each other. The problem is I have is I need to make an overlay for the comparator to check the above timing for inspection. I made models of both thread in separate files and then merged them together. I tried to rotate them individually but they rotate together. Is there some way to divide these?

Any help would be appreiciated.

wouldn't different colors or levels work so you could manipulate these groups independently?

I agree with Bellyup. use different levels to organize your part and make it easier to make your overlay.
