Custom Settings in MR2?

MR2 install seemed to go ok, but can't get my custom settings to stick. When I go into Configuration and select my custom settings for current settings and save; close MCX and reopen, the default (English) settings are loaded again. Do I need to reset my toolbars and right mouse button manually?

you still need to instruct your config to open your customized version, and save it before you reboot.

That's the problem--when I set my custom settings file as "current" in the config window, save, and exit--when I reload mastercam the inch default seems to load again. Also, my toolbar layout and right mouse settings are gone! These settings must be somewhere else, can someone tell me where? Also, I miss the X+ setup sheets already--they don't seem to work with MR2!

When you make changes to your config file do you use the little save icon in the bottom left of the screen. If you do not your changes are not saved.

Check the command line of the shortcut you are using and make sure it reads: C:mcamxmastercam.exe ???????.config

 

That should do it. It took me 30 minutes to figure this one out.

Bruce, re-install X+ and it will work.
