NC editor ?

Got a question for anyone out there, I have a 5 axis problem, and that is after posting a program I found that the A axis, witch is the left and right rotation on the head needs to be 180 deg. opposite from it's current position to clear my fixture, due to the nature of the head shape. Is there any way to select a portion of the NC file and subtract 180 from all the A values in that given section? I currently use the PFE32 editor in Mcam but can't find a way to do this, is it even possible??

If you mean globlly NO.

If you use Cimco editor you should be able to use Control "F" and use the find to go thru the program or COntrol "H" find and replace to find the ones you want and replace the ones you want to.

Thanks Jay, I was hoping there might be a way to write a macro or something to do the arithmatic, but just wishfull thinking.

Go File, Edit, Editor, and select MCEDIT. Under NC Utils in Mcedit you can select shift or scale of whatever variable you select.

Cimco Edit Professional also has this functionality.

find and replace can be started in the middle..and then rest..

of truncate what you want to change to another file..mass do it..and then cut and past back together?

Glenn, thanks for the solution, the mceditor shift function allowed me to subtract 180 from all "A" axis values in a single step. That was exactly what I needed.
