Highlight drafted faces?

You may see some benefit from the Moldplus option for Mastercam...

From the Moldplus help:

quote:

Draft Angle automatically analyzes and trims your part relative to the user defined draft angles and active Construction Plane. The user can define the minimum and maximum draft angle with positive or negative values in the Settings window. All surface draft angles equal to or greater than the maximum value are green. All surface draft angles less than the maximum angles but greater than the minimum draft angle are yellow. All surface draft angles less than or equal to the minimum draft angle are red.

This function is a great time and money saver. You can verify if a part can be pulled in its current position without testing each surface, creating/verifying cross sections or cutting a model. All these take time and in seconds you can verify if your part can be pulled.

You can test the draft angle for various angle values and clicking on Undo to restore the original surface model. If you wish to rotate the surface model until you eliminate the undercuts, you can simply click on Undo, rotate the part and analyze the model until the desired machining angle is reached.

Draft Angle also automatically splits the surfaces along the user-defined maximum/minimum draft angle. These new surfaces can be used to easily create knock-outs or sliders.

Sometimes surfaces with extremely sharp corners or with portions that are degenerate will be reversed in color. They will be extremely evident.
