DNC-MAX / Multi-DNC

I have seen their websites. Please tell me in simple terms how how much ,if any, controll I will have over my HAAS router controller with one of these DNC softwares from my computer.

You can send/rec programs to the control. You won't be able to "control" your router from your computer.

That's not entirely true. If you are drip feeding you can override spindle speed, feedrate, stop the machine at a line number, stop at M01, etc.

 

This is DNCMax, but I'm sure that others can do that as well

Predator can also deliver the same results as DNCMax and Multi-DNC (or is it Spectrum)?

I haven't used Predator DNC in awhile. Does it still take 57 mouse clicks to change the baud rate?

I used Multi-DNC to drip feed multiple machines. It worked out great for me in a large shop environment that the programs could be called up at the machines and saved a lot of "Shoe Leather"chasing back and forth to send or receive files. It was easy to set up and has a lot of options as mentioned above. I'm sure the others as well have similar options, etc.

Ouch! Now Glenn, you know you're supposed to give everyone else a fair shake. Cimco can't help that it's the easiest and best of all DNC packages. Don't take my opinion on it. Try it for a month and see if it works for you. HTH

I tried to buy it and couldn't even get a quote. Might be the best software in the world but I can't prove it?

Are you still fighting with that? Is Anthony aware of the situation? If not I would definitely get him in the loop ASAP and let him square it away

I figure Anthony is aware of this, he is the one who won't give me the quote. I got him in the loop right away and it got me nowhere. I must be asking the wrong questions like how much will I have to pay for the software. Oh wait, I'm trashing a reseller and hyjacking a thread. Sorry I'll try not to post in this thread again.

The oriinator of the thread seems to be long gone but you do need to be a little circumspect ripping Anthony since he is the man over there. I have certainly been backing you on this issue so far but at some point you need to take a step back and ask yourself how likely it is that a service business would be ignoring your request for their product; are you speaking with Cimco directly at this point?

Glen,

 

Predator takes 4 clicks to select the comm port settings in the Predator DNC Networking Software.

 

Right Click on Comm Port Terminator, Select Propterties, Select Baud Rate, and Select Finish.

 

It is even less in the Predator CNC Editor.
