Post for rotary axis on a hurco cnc

Has anyone had luck with posting code for a 4th axis rotary table on a Hurco cnc?

I am runnung X. I am useing a post that our local Mastercam support place made for us. I have calls into them and they have not responded back. All I get is about 6 lines of code.

A friend of mine owns a shop and uses bobcad

to program simple 2d stuff - he says it works

OK - but last week he bought Mastercam Draft

to do his geometry creation - he is also tired of being constantly harrased by the Bobcad sales people

I'll ask the obvious question...

Did you run the post update utility on your post before using it in X? We had an older v9 Fanuc post a while back that I needed to use for one quick job and I was getting the same thing...5 or 6 lines of code posted in a program that should have had several hundred lines.

 

After kicking myself in the head for the better part of an hour, I finally realized I never updated the post for X!!

 

Once I did that, the post worked correctly and all was well.

I have run it thru the update and and the result is the same. I am beginning to think that they ( the head of the company) didn't really know what exactly he had. Because of a non-discloser aggrement I am unable to send the file out for viewing. Is there one of the generic post that come's with the software that I can tweek to what I need?

if they are not responding to your needs, which seems to happen more than not. I would say it isnt going to hurt having these guys help you.

this forum is the best place for info and help I have seen.
