funy thing in mcx installation

i just upgrade to mcx today . but it work on my laptop but it does not on desktop i try many time ,many way but no luck on destop it gives warning "no sim found" but when i run hasp it detect hasp with licence...and more strange thing is mcx on my laptop just work when firewall turn on if i turn off firewall mcx give warning " no sim found" unblievable. i like mcx alot and do not want to come back to 9.1

anybody has this expirience please hepl

did you install the latest drivers?

You may have a old sim that will not work with mcx. there is a sim test to see if your sim is compatable, I had to replace mine. contact your reseller

Down load drivers_x.zip

and turn off you firewall before you install them.

A firewall can prevent these drivers from installing properly.

Aslo make sure you aren't running a double firewall (Windows firewall + Norton Security Suite) or (Windows firewall plus ZoneAlarm)

If all else fails, you may havbe to ask your dealer for help

You can also download and test your hasp

with hasp_utilities.zip

You must have a HASP4 to run Mastercam X

You may also want to check this. Go to start/all programs/mcam/nhaspX/ make sure hasp is checked and not nethasp.
