MCX buffer overflow

had this happen this morning,anyone know why this happens.

i was working with the config file and it just shut down and wouldnt start backup.

 

message was

 

program:C:mcamxmastercam.exe

 

a buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state.the program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.

Try moving your *.config file out of the config folder and see if it starts back up.

This is a known bug in X. Here is a Linky to a previous discussion. If you search the forums for buffer overrun, you will find a few other posts. The above link will give you some insight to prevent it from happening again.

thank you i missed that one when searching.i will try it tomorrow.

removing the config file worked.just removed and Mastercam started right up.
