OKUMA COMMUNICATION HELP

We just recieved a Okuma ES-V3016 mill with a OSP10M control, I need help finding the right parameter settings and cord configuration could anyone be of assistance?

Are you going to use RS-232C?

Do you have the DNC option?

we are going to use RS-232 and I am not positive if the machine has dnc communications options is there an easy way to tell?

I just found the option list it says it has DNC-A,DNC-B,DNC-C1,DNC-C2.DNC-C3

Have you connected cnc's to rs-232 cables before?

Or is this your first time.

I'm just trying to get an idea of how in-depth I need to explain it that's all.

I don't know your control, but I have worked with 2 other Okuma controls though.

DNC B is an option for trickle feed you probably dont have this, you can look bye you on switch (main breaker) ther would be 2 switches to flip up that say DNC B.

 

otherwise just to load programs via rs232

 

wire is

1 ground

2 > 3

3 > 2

 

4 and 5 jumped

 

7 > 7

 

6, 8, and 20 jumped

 

set machine and computer to even 7 and 1

 

adn baud 14800

Parameter Bit.

I set all parameters to per b-daddy's pdf and I am getting (303 reader device error FFFFFFFF'TR') Any ideas?
