curve slice

I trying to slice my part.

I had created a new view and all WCS, C and T were active with a new Zero point.

When I went to pick the Z height the value was

calculated from my original WSC zero.

Anyone know how make things right?

When you are into creating the slice curve there is an icon on the RH side of ribbon bar hit that and it brings a dialog box up.Right mouse click in the Z and pick the height you want the slice.Hit the Blue apply button first this will create the curve and it is still at the temp stage until you hit the green tick or enter.

If the curve is not in the right place you can adjust the Z height by again hitting the icon on the ribbon bar and reselecting a different Z depth.

Hi David !

It works when you using orig. WCS.

But does't if you wont create new WCS, or i am doing somthing wrong.

If your using a WCS hit the icon on the LH side of the ribbon bar as above and select the line icon under the XYZ boxes.

Now select a line where you want the slice to be created.

 

 

If you don't have a line just create a line before you go into the slice function.

Thats a good work around. You would think this would work properly using WCS.
