Update Tool/Op Libs from V8 to V9

Ok, I forgot - how do I....

Its built in,comes up after install with a coouple dialogs,first bring in your config file etc,then your tool library

Find the convertconfig folder on the CD and run setup.exe

I ran the setup, bypassed the configuration options screen to the library files conversion, and selected my ops and tool files. Clicked next, and the bar slider showed the files being processed..

 

So, where are the files?? Did a search across the directory - no .op9 or .tl9 files.

The C:Mcam9MillTools folder contains the .TL9 libraries and the MillOps folder is where the .OP9's should be. Did the update setup allow you to browse for a specific directory to send those library files to? Maybe try it again and locate those files in the C:Mcam9MillTools or Ops folders respectively.

I didn't get a directory prompt for the file location. The Setup.exe file I was using is dated 9/4/2001. The millconfig.txt file is dated 11/15/2001.

 

I did figure out that I could open a .OP8 file in Version 9, NC Utilities, Define Operations, Compress and the file will be available for Operation Import. (still a .OP8 file though)

 

Helped me get through what I needed to do today...
