Is there a way to connect surface toolpath. On certain parts that I machine the the toolpath seems to jump up and down alot. What can I do to prevent this or produce smoother toolpath.

I looked at toolpath editor......but that seems

pretty much for points or removing passes.

Any help or hints will be appreciated.

Well, I would have to say, that is one of the issues that arises.

Along with UV troubles how it was created are the surfaces water tight no gaps as per say.

This why I asked to see the file, to see if it was just what you guys are saying or another issue.

I hope all of this gives kkominiarek a few thoughts to work with.

Hey Jay,

I know where you were going w/your answer, and it

was probably the right way,Im sure gap settings

was the first thing to come to mind.I figured i'd

throw gap settings out there seeing its a good

thing to keep in mind when having such problems

while surfacing.I usually use the distance setting

rather than % of dia.,seem to have better luck.If

your tool still jumps around, dont be afraid to increase your # to eliminate the movements,as long as you have the clearence to do so.
