X2 problems with 2 sessions

If I have 2 sessions going at the same time. 1 session generating and the other I'm manipulating geo or what not, the other session keeps making itself run in the foreground rather than the background. causing me to constantly switch back to the other window again.

What do I have set wrong?

actually it happens when only one session is running as well. If I have x2 generating in the background and I'm using Excel, or my browser or anything it keeps coming to the foreground for no apparent reason. Then I have to go down to the taskbar and "reactivate" the window I was working in.

You're asking a LOT of a computer to be crunching toolpath AND drawing in all honesty. This is not MS Word here folks, CAM software is computationally AND graphically intensive. Even in CATIA I had some toolpaths crunching in the BG and it caused issues if I was drawing at the same time. I'd stay away from that kind of thing if at all possible. If it's not possible, I'd seriously suggest getting a Dual CPU system WITH a Graphics Card that can handle Dual Monitors and that SHOULD help.

Ok, James, you might be right, but shouldn't I be able to let it generate some paths and still be able to reply to this post. In mr2 i could have it generating in the background and it stayed in the background I just don't understand why X2 won't.

The only problem I have is if I am lets say crunching a toolpath, then open a word file, then go back the the file that is being generated. I have to wait until the file is completed generation before I can see any thing in mastercam again, usually I see a white screen. I think if I had a better videocard this probally wouldnt happen, but not sure

Absolutely. I routinely post in here while toolpaths are crunching on my laptop. I run verify while sending e-mail etc... The fan sure is running hard and fast though.
