Merging files

When merging files,is it possible to have geometry and operations come in?

We are trying to have two people program the same part,then take the two files and merge them together,having all the levels come in where they were created,and have operations come in,and maintain association to the geometry.

I don't think it is possible to merge 2 files toolpaths and all. You should get all the geometry and surfaces on the correct levels but you won't be able to merge the toolpaths(the existing toolpaths from the first program will still be there but the toolpaths from the file your bringing in will be lost). After merging files you can import the nci toolpaths of the other file but you won't be able to change any of the parameters of the imported nci.

Another option might be to save one set of operatioins to a library then import operations from that library through the operations manager.

from there you can bring the tools,ops,and geometry into the file.
