FireFox 1.5.x.

2.0 limits the number of tabs available. (1.5 just shrinks them down. Any Firefox is better than IE

I just had 36 open.

 

You might try

in the address window

 

about:config

 

network.http.pipelining - make sure this is set to true

 

 

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

 

Increase the MAX number of requests, I use 25

 

network.http.proxy.pipelining - make sure this is set to true
