thumbnails

Is there a way to view the thumbnails for a group of files in explorer? Trying to find a file from an old job and have lots to look through.

Although I don’t know of a way to view part thumbnails in Explorer, you can easily do it in Mastercam.

 

1. Open Mastercam and choose File, Open.

2. In the Open dialog, navigate to the directory that houses your files.

3. Check the Preview checkbox.

4. Single click a part file to display a thumbnail of that part in the Preview area.

I think that's one of the features in MasterShake's AI Utility. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't use that portion of it.

I think that is standard with mastercam..

With Mastershakes AI Utility, you can right click a mastercam file in explorer and it will bring up the preview BMP.... Brilliant utility, used it at my last place, but can't get it to install at the new works.. I do have all priviliges checked at the new firm...

This capability has been available since Mastercam 8. Right click on a part file in Windows Explorer. For early versions, select "QuickView". For later versions, simply select the "Properties" item and then the "Preview" tab.
