Coolant not activating?

Hello all,

 

I'm not getting a coolant on command when I post. I'm using Mastercam's NCI file and posting with CAMplete, the program we use for our Hermle c400u. It worked fine in V9 but not in X. My settings in the paths are /on - /before. Could this be in the control/machine defs? Thanks.

Yes I believe the control def needs the correct coolant defs.

 

Out of curiosity, why do you not post with MC?

Where in the control defs is it?

 

CAMplete posts the Heidenhain conversational code. A lot of the cycles are easily edited and defined in the conversational format rather than ISO. I use MC for all of our other machines.

You need to change the Coolant settings in the Machine Definition (General Machine Parameters) to use V9 coolant options. X coolant options are canned text based and do not work like V9.

sorry, it's in the machine def.

 

click on the edit general machine parameters button on the top left.

 

in there you will find coolant settings.

Found it. Now, what do I set them to? We only use the flood (M08).

I would click on "First coolant off cammant ..." button.

 

This will enable all the coolants. Then just use the one you need.
