FAGOR 8055 ARC MOVE ERRORS

This hapens quite often with complicated geometry. Get a arc move programed improperly error posted from MC 9.1 MR0304

it is line N2048 that is bad

 

tolerances are all set quite tight.. It does not happen all the time just when I need to get a mold done ASAP.

 

MCX states that there are aditional bad endpoints. I have not set up MCX for my machine yet. so I can not use it for this job.

Every once in a while I get an error at the control because it posts out a Z value along with the XYIJ values for some reason. I can delete the Z value and move on, though.

 

I don't see what it doesn't like about that line though.

what error does the machine give out?

are you using cutter comp?

the error is arc move programed wrong

 

error # 1084 circular path programed incorrectly

Don't see anything wrong there either, but have you tried breaking your arcs in 180's or 90's in your post?

it can run hundreds and hundreds of arc moves then it gets a handfull that are bad (not all together either)

It seams to do it only with the surface contour parralel spriral toolpath. Again this is Ver 9.1 MR0304 I have Mait. up to 12/04 but I can not get the September 04 mait. update to work.

 

possibly it is a bug in the contour parralel spiral toolpath???

-Try posting it from an "out of the box" mpfan and compare the code.

 

-Are you filtering it? You may need to change the filter technique or just turn it off.

I have tried filtered and unfiltered (not cigiretes)

 

The fact that Ver X spots the bad arc endpoints in the NCI file I think rules out a post issue?? NO?? maybe ??

If you are not using X and you just want to get this job done in 9, I would try to fix it in 9. I don't really remember having those kind of issues in 9, could be I was lucky? or maybe is wasn't a xxxxor?

 

What toolpath is it?

What is your tool dia? maybe change it by .0001

If I use constant overlap it posts fine

 

Again VER X finds bad ENDPOINTS in the NCI file when I import my MC9 file into X.

 

So I think it is a problem with that perticular toolpath in ver 9.1

 

I got the job almost finished by using constant overlap option
