Unable to open Ver 9 & X2 at the same time.

We recently switched from Master Cam Ver 9 to MX2. We have 5 licensees all going thru a Nethasp. After we program a part we make a inspection drawing and save it as a Mill 9 drawing. This is for our machine dept so they can print up the drawing and check the part. The file has no machine groups. If we try to open a Ver of Mill 9 and we have all our MX seats open it tells us we don’t have any more licensees available. We don’t want to spend for another seat of X to print these drawings up. Does any one know off a legal way to get the drawings with GEO and surfaces to print with out setting off the Hasp?

The machine dept hasp hasn't been upgraded??? Why wouldn't you do them all?? Working between versions may tend to cause more problems. I would at least look into a design seat upgrade.

We wont spend the money on X for the machine shop. Will try design light and yes we have a good amount of snow how about you. We have a set up guy going to Ithaca in two weeks to work.

Yea Chris, and Oswego is suppose to get lake affect for the next 2 or 3 days. I feel so sorry for those people.

If you have 5 seats on the "nethasp", if you open Mastercam 9, then open Mastercam "X", that counts as "2" licenses

Chris will Design light allow us to bring up a file with surfaces and print it without using a hasp?

Its amazing, lasttuesday I went to Buffalo, from exit 48a to exit 50 was 1 hour drive, that should be about 20 mins. I got to N. Tonawanda and the sun was out, roads were dry.

 

 

Design LT (similiar to the old V9 draft) should allow this... and yes it does not require a hasp
