Cutter comp in post

If you need your cutter comps always +30 you can go into your control def >> tool >> add to tool >> and set the dia comp to 30

did you do it globally or locally, if you go into setting >> conotrol def and change it that way it should stick.

 

You would need to reload the machine def in the OP manager which should then load the new control def with the new change.

 

If you edit the copy by going through the OP mnager, it will not stick

I have had better luck getting it to stick if I go through the Machine Def. to the Control def. After you finish Mcam will ask you if you want to apply it to your current toolpaths.

 

You could also add this:

 

tloffno$ = t$+50

 

to the General Output Settings section of your post.

I think I found the problem.

 

When you go into the operation manager, open the parameters of that tool, click the tool and THEN the diameter offset changes. I guess this is a bug. I could have changed it there right from the get-go. Or has it been fixed on service pack 1??????
