i always save my nc files on a floppy disk.in x2sp1 i would save my nc file on the computer and then "save as" on a disk. it would automatically default to the 3 1/2 floppy, now with x2mr1 i have to select the "a" drive. i can't find where the diffences are in the control def. of configuration.how can i get it to be like it used to be.

Del,

Within your configuration you can set the data path to a:/ , but you really should do that in the editor,m after your nc file has already been created on the local drive.

The best way to do this would be to switch from the current editor you're using to the previous one. For example, if you liked the X mr2 editor better because it remembered the last location you saved to and the new one doesn't, just go into the start exit tab within your mastercam system config and select the editor file used in that directory.
