fadal jerky in 5 axes

Any body have a way to help a fadal with tr65 a/b tabe smooth some.

When using advanced 5 axes tool path the motion is jerky, I have g8 in code and buffer stays full at 254 while drip feeding.

I,m talking a feed of only about 5-10 ipm rate

programed in X2.

The TR-65 expects feedrates in Degrees Per Minute or Inverse Time Feed.

 

G94 with a rotary axis is DPM.

 

G93 is Inverse Time Feed.

 

Odds are your post isn't properly setup.

Whether in G93 or G94 you should be getting a calculated feed rate on pretty much every line when running simultaneous 5-axis. Is that the case in your program?

 

If you've got the G93 option on the machine I'd try that out first. If not, G94 will be ok provided the feed calc is correct. In G94, it is generally not sufficient to just output a linear feed rate. You need the rotary component hence a new value on almost every line.

Another thing to go along with that. You really want t lot of code in changes of cut direction and change of axis angles. I receommend use of angle point generators to tighten up the code. Do not add linear generator as you do not want a lot of code down straight lines with little to no change in direction and change in axis angle.

I have the G94 and there is feeds on each line of code.

I will have to check on the G93

I couldn't find any place to increase the angle points with advanced multy axes in x2

I know some on the other tool paths you could change this.

It's on the tool constraint page at the top for advanced multi-axis. Tighten that down to 1 at least, if not tighter.

 

Try G93. A lot of machines don't like G94 but run G93 like butter.

G93 definitely helped me with the same machine a couple of years ago. The finish had some visible and irregular steps with G94 and G8 programmed, and then went away with G93!
