We just received MC V9 I installed it with

its post processors and found the Fadal processor

has a flaw. It uses the tool offset for the wrong

tool ie T1 uses offset H2 T2 uses H3 any other

users find this problem

Thanks

That was the problem.

To setup the default mode for determining

to Tool Length & Tool Diameter offset number...

From the main menu in Mill v9.0 ->

Screen, Configure, NC Settings, Operation Defaults, select your ?.DF9 operation defaults file, click the Job Setup button and change the 'add' values in the Tool Offset Registers section.

If you don't wish to use the 'add' method, use

the 'From Tool' setting. It tells MC to pull whatever values you have programmed in your MC9 toolpath with NO manipulation.

All I program for are Fadal vmc's, the post in version 9 seems to work well. I have not had a problem with the tool #'s or tool height #'s.

The problem could be in the post, but highly unlikely.

By the way, what format is the post output,

1 or 2 and do you use fixture offsets or work offsets.

This could be helpful in solving your problem, since the post supports both formats for Fadal.
