lathe groove direction

i am cutting a groove on a part with two different tools using two seperate chains. On the first one everything works, the depths and the direction of cut. however on my second chain, the depths are working but i cant get it to cut in the direction i want even when i change from positive to negative to bi to chain. It just doesnt do anything different and setting. Using v9.1 lathe

try chaining it partial, then selecting the end here option.

Do you have your tool compensation going the right way?

i did, but i want the direction to be positive and on any of the settings its still cutting both ways

I think I did what you wer looking for.. I added .BGP to the new file... lemme kno.

BTW, your tool holder is crashing into the 2nd face step on your part.

In grooving I've used the finish contour when the grooving cycle didn't work the way I wanted.
