overlapping a chain

I need to make a O-ring groove .125 wide. This groove is not your typical round shape. It is more a retangular shape with arc on each end.

 

I want to ramp in the entire length of the straight end. I tried to draw a ramping line parallel to the longest side. Now I have a ramping line on top of another line (to finish the bottom of the O-ring groove).

 

I can 3-D chain this projected cutter path but when it generates this path it stops when the ramping line is parallel to the finish line. How do I get this path to finish out its path.

 

I tried to use lead in lead out function but was not able to achieve the results I'm after.

try to turn off infinate look ahead on the contour parameters page.

infinate look ahead prevents the toolpath from crossing itself to protect against gouging.

just use the lead in with a ramp,pick the straight line and make the ramp as long as you need
