Filter settings in V8

I am trying to uncheck the create arcs option in the Filter settings inside my config file in V8 so that I don't have to do it in every operation I create. But it does not work, it still appears activated. In V7 it works fine.

 

Am I missing something?

I beleive that config setting affects the filter selection found under nc util in the main menu. You might have to set the filter setting found in the operations param. by setting up your default ops file.

cam-eleon is right. You wil have to chang the filter settings in the actual operation defaults. While your in there you might want to spend some time changing some other defaults in there like retract heights, feeds and speeds, stepovers, etc. Tkes a little bit of time to do this to all the operations that you use, but it's well worth it in the long run.

If you're going to change quite a few parameters like Zero suggested, you should select all ops in op defaults and right click - than select 'options -edit common parameters'.

 

Gets them all at once, much easier.
