Holes in a solid

This is the first time I have posted to this forum and I hope this dont sound to dumb. A friend sent me an "IGS" file that opens as a solid in MC. The part has several holes in it and I need to know the X and Y center of these holes. Is there a way to "Analyze" the surfaces to get the hole centers?

welcome to the forum. Actually the IGS file came in as trimmed surfaces but if you have shading active it appears to be solid. One easy way to analyze things too is to create curves on a edge of the surface (Create, Curve, select the surface and moce the cursor to the edge you would like and it does it) Generally it will create an arc if possible. Then you can go to Analyze, Only, Arcs and pick the arc. You'll get View Information, Level Informatyion, Color Information startpoint, end point, and arc center.

Actually Jamam,

It works great with surfaces all so.

you can see what fillets are and dia of some holes.
