Lead in, lead out

Just loaded X2 off the web, also downloaded the mach defs.

 

For some reason whenever I have a lead in and lead out, it is ignored and starts in the middle of the tool ( I do have left wear comp ). I've tried to regenerate with different settings, but have no luck. I've even ran the MCX2 repair file.

 

Before I downloaded the mach defs, I ran X2 for a couple of days and it seemed to be fine.

 

Do I need to nuke it ( X2 ) and start over, or am I missing a patch...?

In the Lead in/out parameters, look in the upper left corner. It probably has start at middle checked. To save the change, after de-selecting it, go to the first tab and right click in the tool window and click on save parameters to defaults.

I'm simply trying to mill a line, without any arcs in between. Start at middle isn't an issue at this point, nor are arcs.

Do you by chance have overlapping geometry and only the shorter line got picked to be cut?

I've hidden everything around the line I'm trying to mill, no other entities in the background.

I have a co-worker who had the same type of issue.

Do you by chance have your "sweep" set to 0.0 ??

Sweep is set to 1.0 degree.

Try puttin it back to 90.

1 deg of any arc is nufin.

I've been using 1.0 dg of sweep for a long time and have never had an issue till now... bummer...

 

Maybe I should re- download X2 without the machine defs, then import or make my own machine defs, separate from the downloadable version...

After restarting the computer, the lead in seems to work ok now. The angle of lead seems to work just fine at 15 dg, not at 1 dg, so I'll stick with the larger angle.
