Move X, Y axis Cplane origin?

For example

let's say i create a rectangle

CREATE,Rectangle,1 point:--->40(width) X 20(height), OK

point entry : X0,YO,Z0 or ORIGIN

this what i mean

now i would like to shift (move) the origin of X0,Y0,Z0 to this distance X40,Y10,Z0 as a local coordinate system setting. just like milling G52 code.

does any1 understand what wrote? confused.gif

Thanks in advance

Sounds like all you want to do is

Xform

Translate

All

Enites

between pnts

Endpoint ( of waht you want as the new X0,Y0,Z0 to be)

then start typing 0,0,0

this will move all of it to the new location.

Make sure you are in 3D to get all plains to move at once.

Or you are talking about making new saved views with new tool plains as Dogfartz is talking about.

Actually, I think what you want to do is to set up a tool coordinate system that is located to a specific XYZ coordinate in space.

Tplane/Cplane do exactly this. Tplane is for locating the tool coordinate origin (for example G54, G55, G56, etc...) while the Cplane has the exact same function as the UCS in AutoCAD.

Note, when setting up a Tplane, this setting will remain active for all the new toolpaths created until you change it again.

In other words, each operation can have a specific tool coordinate system and depending on your post processor settings, you can have it output the local coordinate setting G code (G54, G55, etc...) as you wish!

Hope this clarifies this issue!

BTW, new functionality's are available in V9 to simplify this process and to add tools for the creation and handling of the WCS.
