5 axis package

Probably a dumb question, but;

My boss wants to know if I have a 5 axis package or not on my seat of Mastercam. I told him that I have seven multi-axis toolpaths and one advanced multi-axis toolpath. I also told him that I have a couple of 5 axis machines listed in my cnc machines folder and about six 5axis posts. He still wants me to find out if there is a seperate 5axis package or not, and if so what it consists of. Thanks for the help.

Use your hasp x app and check if your hasp has the 5axis installed on it. You can have all the machining post and machining def's you want but if the hasp does not have it there you will not be able to generate and post.

In V9, 5X was part of mill-level3.

If you had it in V9, it was grandfathered into X.

Now it is a seperate add-on as well as a seperate

line item on a maintenance bill.

Your boss is probably comparing an old maintenance

bill to a new maintenance bill and wondereing where the extra charge came from.

Cool, thanks for the replies. It looks like I have the 5axis upgrade. At least it's listed on my hasp and I tried a sample program and it posted. Thanks for the help guys.
