  1. Never mind, I figured it out. My panes had become "undocked" and were covering it up.
  2. I accidentally turned off my "dynamic gnomon" and I can't see it on the screen anymore. Can someone please tell me how to turn it back on. Thanks
  3. Peter, I'll have to do a little research on vbscripts when I get some time. Sounds like something we may be able to utilize. Thanks
  4. Aaron, You da man, that was it. I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was or where it was at. Thanks so much
  5. Peter, You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but I've never used a VBscript and have no idea where to begin and the guy running the wire machine is brand new to mastercam so it would be nice to have an addition in the "hole table" function to perform this. I know we use to be able to do this but I guess they removed it.
  6. No worries, thanks for the response.
  7. The only way I found to select a certain size hole using "select all advanced" is under miscellaneous. You have to perform this operation once for every hole size. I'm sure there use to be a function that could do all of your holes by window select all at the same time. You could tell it what level to place every single size of hole on the screen.
  8. Is there a way to use the hole table to window select all the arcs on your screen and place all like sized arcs on separate levels? I remember doing this years ago but I can't figure it out now. I'm not sure if we used the "hole table" for this or some other function. If not, is there a way when writing a wire contour toolpath to select arcs using some sort of a "masc on arc" method? The wire guy would like to be able to do this so he doesn't have to select all of his arcs one at a time. He's running mastercam2020. TIA
  9. Thad, I sent Takashi a message via his profile page. Hopefully he will have an updated chook for mastercam 2019 and message me back. Thanks
  10. Is there a way to speed up the zoom in/out speed of the middle mouse wheel. I found a post from back in version x7 about a chook from AI solutions for this issue but I can't find anything up to date. tia
  11. I always use simplified bolts when designing a mold. Here's a pic of one of them from the file I sent Chally72
  12. Chally72, Thanks for telling me where that is. I tried it but it didn't make any difference. Oh well it was worth a shot. Thanks again
  13. Ok, I tried saving the file using save as and save some and opened them back up. Both options took 42 seconds to open. So "save as" and "save some" yield the same results. I wish we still had ram save, I would try that. I'm not sure what the problem is. If it's a windows 10 compatibility issue I hope they fix it soon. The computer I have should be running like a scalded ape. Going home for the weekend. Thanks for the help, Tim
  14. I don't need to merge it back in, there are no toolpaths. I'm just having problems opening large files. All I do is design plastic injection molds.
  15. Isn't that the same exact thing? I had the file open, used "save as" to save it as a Parasolid, then opened that file in mastercam and save it. I don't see "export" anywhere in mastercam. Do you use "save some" and window the geometry and save it as a Parasolid?
  16. Gcode, If I understand you correctly that's exactly what I did. I saved the file as a Parasolid file then opened it in mastercam. Took 19 seconds to open.
  17. Chally72, I haven't tried resetting the config to default yet. The file I've been using for testing is on my hard drive. my ssd drive is as follows, I did try saving the file I've been using for testing as a Parasolid, I then opened the Parasolid in mastercam and it opened in 19 seconds, a huge difference. It was taking almost 2 minutes to open. I then resaved that file as a mastercam file and opened it and it took only 16 seconds. So I went back to the original file that had been taking 2 minutes to open and deleted all of the solid history and resaved it. I then opened it and it took 2:45 seconds. (WORSE) I'm so confused as to what to do now. I did try setting my config identical to the wire operators config, page by page, and it made absolutely no difference. The only other thing I can think of is that I had the beta version installed on my computer and he didn't. I may have screwed up the install also. It's just not as easy as it use to be to do and install and migrate all of your info from the previous version. I still have my mastercam 2018 on my computer as well. Could someone explain how to reinstall 2019 and migrate all of my settings flawlessly. I'm not sure if I need to go to this extreme or not. I don't want to waste time. What do you guys think? Tim
  18. OK, I tried opening the file with the shading turned off and the chord height set to .002. It shaved off 5 seconds. This is extremely frustrating. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it until mastercam fixes this HUGE problem. I'm sure there's plenty of other people out there using windows 10 now. I'm also running a solid state hard drive. The computer they got me was a lot of money. I was complaining all the time about my old one taking forever to do everything so they bought me a really good one. We talked to our reseller and gave that information to our IT guy and he ordered it. It's so frustrating that it's not much better than what I had. Spaceclaim works much faster but mastercam is still performing poorly. If this is something that can be solved by mastercam, they really need to do so as quickly as possible. Thanks for the responses, Tim
  19. My mastercam 2019 is super slow at opening files. I done a little test and opened a file on our wire guys computer (he's running 2019 as well). It only took 55 seconds to open. His computer is pretty old and not nearly as good as mine. The only difference I can think of other than that is that he's not running windows 10. The same file on my computer took 2 min and 35 sec. Here's my computer information. I've tried everything I can think of to solve this issue. This file was only 43,818,kb. I have some files that are much larger that take 20 minutes plus to open. It's getting embarrassing, whenever I have my boss and a customer standing over my shoulder watching me open a file and they have to take a coffee break while the file opens. Pllleeeaaaassssseeee help. Thanks, Tim
  20. pullo, What little I know is, N is an internal spline/gear =, W is external, 50= 50mm, 2 is the height of the tooth(I think), 24 is the number of teeth and the h8 is the class of fit.
  21. Never mind, I found a file on grabcad. Thanks, Tim
  22. Anyone know where I can find a 3d file for a N50X2X24X7H internal spline. I have a drawing with it called out as a DIN 5480 N50X2X24X7H, but that's all the information that I have. I don't think I have enough information to create it in mastercam using the gear c-hook. Thanks, Tim
  23. Could someone please tell me how to turn off the display of the arc centers. I did a search for it on here and as usual the search engine was completely useless. I did a search for it in mastercam help and as usual it was completely useless. I could've swore it was in the configure file but I can't find it anywhere.
  24. To late, lol, I was able to migrate only those two folders and everything worked great. I wrote a little test program and selected one of my custom tools and posted the program. Thanks for the help John, I can't tell you how many times you've helped me. I lost count
