4th axis for vf3 haas

is there a formula to get the feedrate on a 4th axis milling deg p/minute and how do you apply

on the parameters?

any help will be apreciatted

running a haas vf3,vf6 w/mpfan post using mill8.1

Posts like Mpfan take care of the calc automatically. Just specify tool tip feed in in/min in your parameters. If the move is rotary, the post will convert to deg/min.

I just emailed you a mphaas4x post that outputs simultaneous 4-axis for the Haas. I've run this one and know it's good.

 

I thought the Haas automatically calculated the inverse feedrate for 4-axis moves? Am I wrong?

Charles all the forth axis work I have done on the Haas was not done in inverse time.

 

I had a post that was doing inverse time and the Haas did not like it

On either the Vf4 or the Vf6 at my customer's.

 

I would like to see the Haas post you sent him but not in inverse time if possible.

With a Haas you just program IPM and in the Setting page (I think it is #54) you set the rotary diameter and it will do the feed calc for you.
