Solids Gouging in X2MR2SP1

In the past month I have had 2 separate files that consisted of a solid entity which was toolpathed with the old style surface rough and surface finish toolpaths and was gouging slightly in an area over a single face. It was as if the one face had been offset below the rest of the surrounding faces by maybe .030 or so and I ended up with a uniform shallow gouged area...

 

Simply creating surfaces from the solid and reselecting those as drive instead of the solid eliminated the problem.

 

I submitted the first one to QC already.

Hi Matt, I have seen this quite often with version 9. Because of this I still use surfaces to machine to in X2 (it also makes it easier to select check surfaces when they're a different color).
