i know this is not an important point, but i was curious. can anyone explain the organization of the Mastercam color palette? i know you can customize colors and whip it into some semblance of order, but the default color organization looks like something jackson pollock and walt disney came up with. any reason it looks like it looks?

16 colors originally pointed to with one byte of hex ....Mcam didn't invent the color map, I imagine they are along for the ride like the rest of us....we've noticed occasional "color bugs" when opening very old files (i.e. - set current color to #10 green but the entities show up in #1 dark blue) I think its 'cos the color map expanded after the file was originally created
