Does anyone use highfeed machining?

Does anyone use highfeed machining and if so, do you have three tabs when you pull it up? I am specifically questioning X2-MR2-SP1 users. Also, can you find a file in your system titled highfeed.lib?

My problem seems to be when running it on a simple 2-d contour, it increases the feedrate as the material to cut gets larger, where you would theoretically slow down the cut? What type of cuts are you doing and does it appear to be working properly?

I use the high feed with my Dapra cutters mainly when doing 2d pockets and surface rough pockets. It usually can knock about 40-50% off my cycle time. Keep in mind that the default tool under highfeed usually needs to be edited. I don't take a 1/2 cutter 1/2 deep full width. Make sure it is modified to the D.O.C. you are taking. cheers.gif
