Trimming 2 arcs

Our designer has been struggling with this trim.

 

I put the file on the FTP in the MCX2_Files folder.

I removed the 3 arcs from the main drawing to make the file small. Need to trim the 2 green arcs.

 

 

I did solve this for him, but trimming this should be easier than the work around I did.

 

 

Should this or has this been reported as a possible bug????

Do you want a small arc between the 2 green arcs?

 

Did you get a long arc above the blue when you tried trimming 2 entities, with the green arc connected to the blue switching sides?

even after extending the lines so they intersect and then trying to trim, it extends them

This usually works, but not this time.........

just my 2 cents but i extended then broke at intersection

I tried extending but that still moved the intersection for me,

 

now if I start with 2 full circles I can get it, Divide the larger inside the smaller, then trim the smaller to the larger, then the smaller to the blue.

I added a .0001 fillet, blew the fillet away and trimmed.

 

 

Shouldn't be this much work though.......

Hacsta.......our Designer tried on his computer and it didn't work, so he merged my fix on my computer back into the drawing.

 

 

I tried your way and it didn't work here.....not a 100% fix I guess.

i re-drew a 3 point arc over each green arc in red.

i delete the old green and they trimmed no

problemo.

 

if you created them as curves from a surface

that is prolly why you cant trim them easy

like the new ARCS that I drew

 

I timed it and it took exactly 40 sec my way
