trunnion axis orientation

Yesterday I had a Haas TR160 trunnion installed on my VF2 and I need to make sure the axis are set up correctly. Currently the trunnion axis (rotates about the X-axis) is "B" and the plate that the work mounts to is "A". Is this correct?

Haas does things wierd....the industry standard C axis is the rotary, A axis tilts about X, B axis tilts about Y

i have three haas trunions here, one tr210 and two tr310 . they are A axis trunion and B axis is the platter rotation.

Bob, your's is set odd, the norm is like Chuck says.

the Mastercam generic Haas Trunnion post is set for an A axis tilt and B axis rotary. you can change it in this part of the post.

Change the primary address to A and secondary to B.

I thought it was strange as I always thought the A axis was the trunnion and the B axis was the plate. I will go ahead and change it on the machine. The tech gave me the parameters so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Got everything switched around and working. I left the post alone and changed the machine settings.
