Hurco Post Issue: Compensation

Hey

Ive got a problem that no-one seems to be able to solve.

Maybe it is the machines age etc

Its a Hurco BMC40 -- Ultimax control 1996

Anyway it does not apply cutter comp in ISO mode. No matter what you try it cuts along the geometry line.

It only works when compensation is set to "Com puter" in relevant dialog.

 

Is there anyone using this machine with X2 MR2 Sp1, and does their post work ok?

 

Hurco support was ,how shall i say this, "un-supportive"...............

My post works great. I have a Hurco BMC 3016.

The only thing I have to do is tell MC to add 100 to my tool # for my "D" value in the machine definition manager. I set my comp to "Wear" and no problems.

What level of g code add on do you have?

For your year of machine there is 3 levels.

Hurco's. Seriously, who makes a cnc in the late nineties that can't have a radius offset that matches the tool number?

 

Anyways, what Strabe said should work.

 

I remember running into all sorts of wierd crap with the 4020 and BMC 30 I used to program. Sometimes you could address more than one axis with a G53, sometimes not. Just depended on the mood it was in.
