Good day all

 

I have been using Mastercam 8.1 for years and have been learning X MR2 the baptism by fire way. I have live tool, C axis lathe and I am trying mill a 0.625" square (polar interpolation) and am going to ruff and finish with the same 0.375 e/mill, soft material. When I back plot the tool path it looks fine, the roughing depth for Z is 0.49" and C 1.02", finishing Z depth 0.5" and C 1". Yet when I post it, I am only getting the roughing tool path and not the finish path as well. The other guys in here are scared of MCX and I am the only one useing it. I enjoy a challenge but this is crazy. I am a "turner" and do very little milling, "stick in, hit button". Any help would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Not a lathe guy but if you have 2 processes make sure your nc file name is the same or they wont post out together.

In operations manager right click toolpath group >> edit selected operations >> change NC file name. Try that while both operations are checked.

Be surte ALL your operations got the same NC name

 

and be sure that none of the operation got a ghost on it .

The ghosted operation will not be posted but you will see it in verify , i know it's a little annoying !!

The end mill does the ruff pass, goes back up to the G30 position then comes back down for the finish pass. Now to put tool to metal. Gonna try this in nylon first. Cheers Gentlemen

I like your enthusiazime (sp). This will be the first time using the G112 function. Already too many guys in this shop that embrace, "stick it in and hit the button". some of them are not here anymore. thanks for the confidence boost though! thanks for all your help

It is a Yama Seiki GLS-150M lathe, single turret 0i control. Thanks for your efforts
